Did I mention that Rick Springfield is 62 years old? And you know he’s best known as a teen hearththrob from his time on “General Hospital,” his short-lived Saturday morning cartoon, and his early MTV successes in the late 1970s/early 1980s.
So Springfield, the consummate showman, plays that up. After “Jessie’s Girl,” he disappears for a few minutes before returning looking like what you see above.
Glasses on. Shirt off.
He’s 62, ladies.
There were, I believe, swoons to be heard in the crowd. And the husbands and I had mixed emotions between “that pandering beefcake jerk” and “I’m half his age and not nearly in that good a shape.” Jealousy is never becoming.
And then he brought out the roses again.
All in all, “Christina” is a good song to end the show with.
Sorry, ladies, he didn’t relive that scene from “Hard to Hold” where you got to see his butt.
