Was at the 2011 Rock and Roll Mini-Marathon in Philadelphia over the weekend. Coolest part about it was the large chunk of the city that was cut off from traffic. You could walk down the busiest roads Sunday morning, because the race was going on around them. Traffic was stopped until noon.
I took a bunch of HDR architectural photos which I hope to play with this week. In the meantime, here’s the scene at the final turn at mile marker 13 leading to the race’s end.
I’m zoomed all the way into 300mm here to eliminate the distractions outside the edge of this frame. Any wider and you’d see the heads at the bottom of the frame that I was shooting past, for example. The compression also works nicely to make the sardine runners look closer together.
