Shutter Speed Walrus

Here’s a prime example of how bright lights and fast shutter speed can really freeze action. It’s a shot of a water toy of my

75mm, f/4.5, ISO 100, 1/1000th second

This was taken on a bright full sun day last summer. It came out to 1/1000th of a second at f/4.5. ¬†So I could have gone down to f/2.8 with this lens and made it to 1/2000th and frozen even more droplets…

Water is a fun thing to photograph. Experimenting with high speed and low speed shots gives you a lot of virtual angles on a shot.  Waterfalls are great for this, too.
