HDR River Runs Through Snow

Playing with Photomatix Lite. Then tweaking in Lightroom 3.  Lots to learn.  Fun!

It still looks a little fake, particularly in the upper parts when the sky turns too blue and the trees too brown. But, it’s not awful for an early HDR effort.  I need to upgrade to regular Photomatix and finish reading Trey Ratcliff’s book, I know. I’m getting there.  In the meantime, I play until I get something I like.

This photo was taken in the winter of 2010, not from the recent snow storms.  But once this snow starts seriously melting and the weather is hospitable, I know of a waterfall that will need a tripod placed in front of it again.  It’s just upstream from this location.
